Wow. This place really came through for me. I needed to feed 28 people and their chicken and brisket were perfect- delicious, tender, smoky, perfect. The sides were great too. Portions are generous. One with an appetite!
You have got to stop at the bbq shack. The food is amazing and you get lots of it. We went in and said that we had this many people and that we wanted a little of everything. The price was affordable and the food was great. We had enough to feed 12people with very little left overs. Can not recommend enough.
We got the sampler platter with macaroni salad, salt potatoes, chicken wing dip, and mac n cheese.The chicken was amazing. Extremely tender pulled pork that melts in your mouth. Sides were ok. Not big on the mac n cheese. Tasted like peppery scalloped potatoes to me. Overall good meal. Could use some music to make it or more inviting atmosphere. Would visit again.
Delicious food and large number of menu items! Located in a small building that could easily be overlooked that it shares with a land surveyor office. Very casual.
Ordered some BBQ to go. We ordered a Pulled Chicken Sandwich, Brisket and for sides Cole Slaw and Salt Potatoes. Brisket, Potatoes and Cole Slaw were perfect. Chicken was a bit dry but extra sauce did the trick. All employees were super nice and very attentive. Recommended.
This is a real roadside gem. It's located in an old building sandwiched between a lube service and an admin office. It's prime real estate for the best BBQ you've ever had, and it delivers pretty hard. It's a place for meat purists. They have meats by the pound, half-pound, and — as I witnessed — by the massive party tray. The sandwiches are meats on a bun, and you can dress it yourself if you want. They offer four different bbq sauces, mustard, ketchup, and malt vinegar. The inside is old, but very clean and obviously well cared-for, which to me speaks to its character. The staff were so accommodating and kind. I asked for pickles with my brisket sandwich, and was forgiven for my blasphemy. I think they're doing a great job. Worth stopping off on your way in or out of town.
20250519 The owner greeted me the second I walked in. He was very nice. Bring cash!! To avoid paying credit card fee. I got the combo with chicken and brisket, and cold slaw and beans. The cold slaw was good, but highly recommend the baked beans!! The chicken and brisket were generous portion, but they are on the dryer side, but not dry. I wish they were more moist, juicy. Maybe this is a different style of bbq? The brisket was very lean. I tried all 4 sauces, and couldn't decide which I like best. Each is unique. The cornbread was ok, kind of dry to my liking. Their prices are reasonable. My finicky pup liked the brisket, but not the chicken. My other pup is not interested which is what I expected because she only likes a few things. Recommend giving it a try.
